Tara M. Conlow (TaraTheBard) is a published writer, marketing and publishing professional, and analog game designer. A practicing Inclusive Heathen from an Irish American background, Tara creates empowering games, immersive experiences, stories, plays, and workshops for participants to share the story they need to tell.

When she isn't traveling to Iceland and beyond, Tara lives in the Washington, DC area with her pug. 

She regularly teaches Magical Storytelling online and at Sticks and Stones in Fairfax, Virginia, along with running customized and existing digital larps online. She’s presented workshops and served on panels at GenCon, Frederick Pagan Pride Day, Wizard World Philadelphia, and more. She’s also been a hired game master and workshop coordinator at multiple events.

Tara’s covered dozens of conventions as press, being former founder and editor of The Geek Initiative (2011-2021). She is often credited as Tara M. Clapper, her former name.
